Mixed Bag of Weather This Week

Multiple waves of rain and maybe a few thunderstorms from time to time across east Alabama today through Thursday. Today’s best rain chances were this morning. Heavy showers and thunderstorms have moved into southwest Georgia. Today’s highs will be in the mid-70s under mostly cloudy skies with lows in the low 60s tonight.

Our best rain chances will be Tuesday night into Wednesday as low pressure moves through the area. Periods of heavy rain and some thunder will be possible but widespread severe isn’t likley.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm, then a slight chance of showers between 1pm and 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 62.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48.
