Bad to the Bone!

On the day I was born
The nurses all gathered ’round
And they gazed in wide wonder
At the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up
And she said “leave this one alone”
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the bone

Bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone

When George Thorogood and The Destroyers released “Bad to the Bone” in 1985 I doubt they realized this song would be used 36 years later to describe a hurricane!

IDA is Bad to the Bone! She is expected to reach CAT 3 status at lest, if not CAT 4 before making landfall south of Houma Louisiana tomorrow. Catastrophic devastation is in store for our neighbors.

Across east Alabama and west Georgia expect nothing until Monday afternoon. Then we may see a increased risk of tropical downpours, strong thunderstorms with the possibility of quick spin up tornadoes.

Southwest Alabama could potentially see tropical storm force winds 35 – 40 mph. Obviously the closer you get to the storm the more effects you will experience.

We are still 24-30 hours away from landfall so things could change. However, I think the NHC has this one figured out pretty well.

Remain Weather Aware through Tuesday!
