Rain is on the way out at mid-day. Mostly cloudy skies this afternoon with ample sun returning tomorrow through the weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms moved across Alabama during the overnight through mid-morning. Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued along the cost and in parts of south Alabama this morning. Most locations have received a little overt 1/2″ of rain in the past 24 hours across east Alabama. Rock Stand is reporting .62″.
A fantastic weather weekend is on the way. Plenty of sun and slowly moderating temp. The high tomorrow will be close to 70, followed by mid-70s Friday, 80-degree warmth Saturday, and low 80s Sunday. Our next chance of rain will come next Monday afternoon with the better chances remaining west of Alabama. The weather next week returns to a normal pattern for this time of year with warm humid days, fair nights, and a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms each day with highs in the 80s.
