The hot and dry days of early summer continue through Friday. Daytime highs will remain in the upper 80’s to low 90’s through Friday. The chance of any location seeing a drop of rain is so small, it’s not worth a mention! A cooler pattern does look likely just in time for your holiday weekend.
A weak surface front will swing through Alabama Friday and increase our chances of seeing a scattered shower or thunderstorm Friday afternoon and evening. Don’t get excited, the odds of receiving rain in your front yard are going to be slim. Expect a mix of sun and clouds Friday with afternoon highs in the upper 80s. On Saturday, look for a slight chance of a shower along and south of the I-85 corridor as our front continues marching south. As the front passes east Alabama Saturday morning, dry air will filter in and skies will become mostly sunny with less humidity and cooler daytime highs. High temps Saturday will be in the low 80s. A scattered shower can’t be ruled out Sunday, but again, the risk is low. High Sunday 80 – 85 degrees.
Models are not in good agreement past Sunday, so for now, we will maintain a partly sunny forecast with an outside chance of a shower. Temps on Memorial Day will be in the low 80s.
