TS Nicholas made landfall along the Texas Coast around 1:30 AM this morning and continues to move northeast at 8 mph. He is currently located just northeast of Houston Texas.
Nicholas will slow to a crawl through Thursday dumping as much as 18” of rain in some spots along the Texas and Louisiana coast.
Nicholas will not have a direct impact on our weather across east Alabama and west Georgia though it will be cloudy and rainy at times through the remainder of the week. Higher rain totals are likely across west Alabama where 2”+ are possible. 1” totals look possible for our area.
There is some uncertainty as to where Nicholas goes after Thursday so remain Weather Aware over the next few days.
