Sunny Memorial Day; Rain Returns Thursday
First and most importantly, thank you to all of our service men and women who sacrifice so that we may be free in this country! Another fantastic day is in the making for East Alabama and West Georgia. Sunny skies with afternoon highs in the low 80s. Tonight will be clear with lows in the upper 50s. Tomorrow, June 1, 2021 will be the beginning of Meteorological Summer, and rightfully so, as we will warm into the mid 80s with mostly clear skies.

Showers and Thunderstorms will return late Wednesday or Thursday. For now, it appears the best chances of rain will be along and north of the I-20 corridor but Dr. Don’s coverage area (between I-20 & I-85) will see its fair share of showers. Expect a 40% – 50% chance of mainly afternoon summer-type storms starting Wednesday night and continuing at least through the weekend. While a few storms could be strong, severe storms are not expected.
