A complex weather setup across the southeast this evening may produce a line of severe thunderstorms across east Alabama and west Georgia sometime after 8PM central. The main low will pull off to the northeast across Tennessee dragging a cold front across Alabama and Georgia. Along that line, we will see strong to severe storms capable of producing very heavy rain, damaging straight line winds and a few tornadoes. There is a slight chance we could see a few Super Cell storms out ahead of the main line especially in areas that receive sun this afternoon.
As I have said many times over the last week or so, I don’t anticipate a “Red Letter” severe weather outbreak but if it breaks bad on your house, then, it is a Red Letter severe weather outbreak!
